Location: Cheltenham

Salary: £22,000 to £26,000 DOE

Sherbornes is a niche solicitors practice, working in a specialised market focussing on aspects of business law.  Our central Cheltenham office runs on the basis that happy people have great ideas. Background to the Role

Office Manager is to supervise the day-to-day operations of the business and provide support to the Managing Director and other solicitors. Successful candidate will report to both directors. The role represents a significant opportunity for the right candidate who will be directly involved in the implementation of the Firm’s strategic plans, business development, the maintenance of quality and client care systems and SRA/Law Society compliance. The role does include accounts function thus an understanding of accounts and the financial operations of law firms is desirable, but training given to the right person.

Friendly niche legal practice in town centre is looking for an Office Manager to:

Manage the day-to-day requirements of a professional office administration

Manage accounts/bookkeeping

Manage website and social media

Liaise with suppliers and clients

Organise and support the practice lawyers

Person Specification:

People person

Resilient with a sense of humour

Previous experience in a similar role

Strong initiative, ability to work on your own and manage own workload

Excellent organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines

Awareness of social media marketing, advertising and promotion

IT literate (MS Office, Mailchimp, WordPress)

Good working knowledge of Sage, Quill or Xero helpful but not essential.

Ability to herd cats will be an advantage.
