Mini Masterclass – Preventing Sexual Harassment

Third Party Harassment – The New Duty and how to comply.

The new regime places all employers under a duty to prevent sexual harassment happening in the first place with increased penalties in the event that it occurs. That is, unless the employer has taken all steps to prevent it.

There has been much speculation and simply wrong information on the new duty to prevent harassment.

The new duty:

  • Applies to workers and employees
  • Requires employers to anticipate events and act to prevent them
  • Exposes employers to risks from employees of other employers, and members of the public.
  • Failure will bring liability for harassment and public shaming.

Join us for a small group discussion to understand what is required, and the chance to discuss what needs to be done to prepare.

We will be running a morning and an afternoon session on Wednesday 6 November in Cheltenham. Topics to be covered are:

  • What is sexual harassment
  • Understanding the new duty on employers
  • Steps necessary to comply
  • Risks to non-compliant businesses

You will leave the session:

  • Understanding exactly what the duty is
  • Armed with a straight forward checklist of how to comply
  • Equipped with suggested documents to use for your own compliance
  • Equipped with a protocol to follow should you be unfortunate enough to have an employee suffer sexual harassment.

This will be a chance to hear from the experts as well as to discuss and learn from what others are doing.

Follow this link to register for either the morning or afternoon session. Pastries, tea & coffee will be provided.
